Anne Keith (Collins) Scott-Evans of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away on October 15, 2024 at Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, Kentucky. Anne was born May 24, 1938, to the late Woodrow Collins and Evelyn Lawrence Collins Page. She grew up mainly in the Sugar Grove area of Butler County where she lived with her mother and her grandparents as a young child. Her mother, Evelyn remarried when Anne was a child and she was raised by her mother and her step-father, Glyndon Page. When Anne was an adolescent, she moved with her parents to Indianapolis, Indiana. After several years there, she moved back to Butler County with her parents where they worked on the family farm in the Sugar Grove community.
She married William (Laney) Scott in 1955 and remained married to Laney until his death in 2006. They had 3 children, Kimberly Kay, Angela Lane, and Jason Keith.
Several years after Laney's passing, she remarried Hugh Evans of Butler County. They had 10 years of happiness together until his death in 2023.
As a child she was raised in the Little Muddy Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and then joined Morgantown First Baptist Church until health problems no longer allowed her to participate. She had been a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, Clara Lee Circle member, and served in various ministries and committees.
Anne graduated from Butler County High School in 1956. After high school and her marriage, Laney was drafted into the Army twice and while he was overseas, Anne worked at Citizen's National Bank and lived in Bowling Green, KY. She worked at the Morgantown Water Department and retired from Warren Rural Electric Corporation where she was the office manager.
Anne was known for her loving and kind spirit, selflessness, thoughtfulness, resiliency, grace, work ethic and her beauty. When you saw her out and about, she was always dressed impeccably with her red lipstick framing her ever present smile. She loved Butler County, traveling to the mountains and the beaches, decorating for every holiday, shopping and getting dressed up in the latest fashions, and spending time with her various cats, More than anything though, she loved God, her family and her many lifelong friends.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Angela Scott Keathley (Bryan), of Union City, TN, son, Jason Keith Scott (Carrisa), of Buck Grove, KY; grandchildren Joshua Hampton (Jennifer), of Morgantown, KY, Amanda Flener Smith (Jonathan), of Owensboro, KY, Andrew Keathley (Maria), of Collierville, TN, Matthew Keathley (Alexandria), of Union City, TN, Amelia Scott, Cade Scott and Canon Scott of Buck Grove, KY; great grandchildren Laney Bell Hampton, Sophia Johnson, Emma Keathley, William Keathley, and Harrison Smith; sister Teresa Page Edmundson (David) of Bowling Green, KY, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
