Alice Faye Casey
Alice Faye Casey, a beacon of warmth and wisdom, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Tuesday, February 18, 1947, in Butler County, Kentucky, Alice's life was a tapestry of love, service, and joy that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Alice was a woman of spirited nature and friendly demeanor. Her early years in Butler County were filled with the love and guidance of her parents, Owen and Vena Beasley Bratcher. Alice's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, Royal C. Casey, and together they welcomed their twin sons into the world. Though she was preceded in death by her husband, Royal, her son Gregory Tim Casey, her siblings Osco, Vivian and Carl Bratcher, Doris Mae Burden, and her half-brother Elbert Bratcher, Alice's legacy continues through her loving family.
Alice's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her son, Anthony Kim Casey of Morgantown, KY. She was a proud grandmother to two grandchildren, Hillery Flener (Austan) of Morgantown, KY, and Destiny Decker (Joey) of Brownsville, KY. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of her four great-grandchildren, Abel and Arlee Flener of Morgantown, KY, and Hunter and Emma Decker of Brownsville, KY. Alice also leaves behind her brother, Randall Bratcher (Pam) of Morgantown, KY, her sister-in-law Layvonne Bratcher of Morgantown, KY, and several cherished nieces and nephews.
A member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church, Alice's commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life and interactions with others. Her professional life was marked by a dedicated career as a case worker for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, where she served with compassion and integrity. Alice also contributed her skills and work ethic to Kanes Manufacturing and Nestaway in Beaver Dam, KY.
Alice's interests were as varied as they were joyful. She had a keen eye for thrifting and enjoyed shopping, but most of all, Alice cherished the moments spent fishing with her husband Royal.
