Alice Fay Shields Hawkins, 71 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Friday, December 9, 2016, at her residence. Alice was born July 6, 1945, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Robert Revel and Joe Nell Fields Shields. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired as a medical assistant and X-ray tech. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one sister Reva Shields.
Alice Fay Shields Hawkins is survived by her husband of 48 years Gene H. Hawkins of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter Amanda Smith (Tom) of Baizetown, Ky.; 3 sons Chris Hawkins (Marty) Caneyville, Ky., Robert Hawkins (Marcia) of Halfway, Ky. and Andrew Hawkins (Andrea) of Huntsville, Ky.; one step daughter Sandy Ritchie (Don) of Floral City, Florida; nine grandchildren Brooke Stokes, Chris Hawkins, Mason Hawkins, T.J. Smith, Payton Hawkins, Hannah Hawkins, Layton Hawkins, Chloe Hawkins and Gavin Hawkins; two great-grandchildren Rhett Stokes and Kora Hawkins; three brothers David Shields, Bobby Shields and Alan Shields (Alice); five sisters Ruby Shields, Barbara Jones, Ann Keown (Roger), Gail Bratcher (Roger) and Frances Hatcher (Bobby) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, December 12, 2016, at 12:00 pm with Bro. Bobby Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday 8:00 am until funeral time at 12:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
