Alice Burden Kiper, 85 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday April 5, 2016 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. Alice was born on Wednesday October 22, 1930 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Luther and Mattie Stratton Burden. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Adron C. Kiper, one brother Orval (Eva) Burden and one niece Dee Smedley.
Alice was a rural letter carrier, a Kentucky Colonel, active in the early Rural Development Steering Committee of Butler County, instrumental in bringing the city water thru the Gilstrap Community an past president of the Gilstrap Community Center. She was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association and member of Oak Grove Church of God.
Alice Burden Kiper is survived by two children Judy Kiper Daugherty and Ruth Kiper Warren both of Morgantown, Ky.; four grandchildren Shelia DeRoy and husband Keith, Jerry Hurt and companion Christie, Mike Greene, Travis Warren (Beth) all of Morgantown, Ky.; great grandchildren Jerri Forbes and husband Andrew, Adrian De"Roy, Jaden Hurt, Kaylen Warren, Talon Bryleigh, Huston and Easton and great great grandchildren Keegan and Levi Forbes; one nephew Jeff Burden and two nieces Pam Chastain and Marge Terry and several other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church Saturday April 9, 2016 at 11:00am with Bro. Mike Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the New Liberty  Missionary Baptist Church.
