Football season has officially started and the Butler County Middle School Bears have set the tone for the year.

HARRODSBURG — Butler County senior guard Briar Griffin earned an offer from the Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg men's basketball program on Thursday, Aug. 8.

MORGANTOWN — Former NAIA National Champion Lindsey Wilson College conducted a satellite volleyball camp at Butler County High School in July. Butler County is preparing to compete in the 2024 high school volleyball season.

The 2024 BCHS Bears football program will host a controlled scrimmage on Friday, August 9 at 6 p.m. on the BCHS campus. This will be a tri-scrimmage with Breck Co. HS, and McLean Co., and Butler Co. HS.

MORGANTOWN — After visiting Western Kentucky University, Butler County senior forward Lawson Rice received an offer from the WKU men's basketball program on Friday, Aug. 2.

MORGANTOWN— The Butler County High School cheerleading squad excelled at UCA Camp in July.The BCHS cheerleading squad earned first-place in cheer during the UCA Camp.Claiming another trophy, the BCHS cheerleading squad placed second in camp routine.

Butler County High School girls' soccer will be starting with a young team in 2024, after graduating 9 seniors last season, most of whom were starters. Some of the key returning players include Loree Davidson, Kenzie Johnson, Bailey Moore and Jessica Alonzo.

Wild punches out seven, Issac records seventh three-hit game

The Butler County Bears varsity football team will leave for a mini-camp at Camp Loucon, in Grayson County next week. New Head Coach Joshua Robins and staff and team will make the trip to Camp Loucon and conduct drills on August 1-2-3.
