Garey took his mom, Aggie, back to her home in Alabama this morning. She has been staying with us for the past three weeks. Her dog, Angel, passed away right before Christmas, and since Aggie lives by herself, she was very lonely. We went to see her over the New Year weekend

Many begin a new year trying to change certain things about themselves. These can include some lofty goals, and this is certainly a worthwhile effort. Let us remember, though, that there are some things we cannot change!

The state Senate should be lauded for making reforms to Kentucky’s education system – specifically the way public schools are governed – a top legislative priority during this year’s General Assembly session.
