Well it doesn’t look like we are going to have too much pretty fall color but there is some to enjoy. This barn almost got away from me but I caught it out of the corner of my eye and turned around to capture it. This was on a drive through the Richardsville area.

Since Daylight Savings Time comes to an end next weekend, I’ve begun to consider my exercise goals for shorter and colder days. My daughter(s) and I usually walk after work – the new sidewalks have been helpful, but our time before dark will soon be limited.

On Sunday, Garey and I took our granddaughter, Sabria, fishing in a friend’s lake. It was the first time she was able to hook a fish and reel it in by herself. She was so pleased. It was wonderful. I remember that feeling. I caught my first fish on a cane pole. With a quick jerk of the line

I am sure we are familiar with this term. Sometimes, when people talk, they are vague. Some try to spare our feelings about certain issues and will not speak in a plain way. Thus, we may tell folks to “tell it like it is” and stop trying to spare our feelings.

Halloween is less than a week away, and I am questioning my preparedness. I have purchased candy, but have wondered whether I have enough. I have two Halloween decorations in my house, but will put them away when the holiday has passed, leaving the other fall decorations out for another month.
