Maevell Carroll Grise, 71, of Rochester, Ky. passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Medical Center. Maevell was born Jan. 28, 1943 in Butler County, to the late Louis and Louise Kirby Carroll. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making dolls, baskets, quilts, and restoring antique furniture. She collected chickens and loved to take care of plants and flowers and her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald Grise, brothers Donald Lee Carroll, James Carroll and twins, Wendell and Glendel Carroll and nephew Jimmy Carroll.

She is survived by one son Kevin Grise and wife Liza of Morgantown; one granddaughter Angelica Grise of Ft. Riley, KS; one brother Wilbur Carroll and wife Marvette of Glasgow; sisters in- laws Sandy Grise of Morgantown, Betty Grise and Wanda Grise of Lewisburg; brother in- law Donald Grise and wife Anna of Huntsville; several nieces and nephews and her three precious cats Peanut, Tara and Socks.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Greg Wallace officiating . Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery . Visitation will be Sunday , May 25, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
