Glenda J. (Jackie) Spence 78, of Owensboro, Kentucky died May 18, 2014 in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born November 9, 1935 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Nita and Jack Maxwell. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William C. Spence, on April 19, 2013: a daughter Sandy Jean Roberts on August 2, 2010; her mother, Nita Mae Maxwell on September 25, 2002; her father Jack Maxwell on April 26, 1964; and a grandson, Jeremy Dean Clary on November 12, 1995.
She was a gifted painter and loved making crafts. She enjoyed making home movies of her children and grandchildren and was a Baptist by faith. Jackie loved her family and enjoyed helping others. She had received awards and letters for helping families in need with clothing or whatever they needed to get back on their feet from hard times. She will be missed and loved by a lot people.
She is survived by sons Joseph Earl Clary Jr., Kenneth Ray Clary and Billy Dean Clary all of Owensboro, Ky.; a daughter Janie Clary; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday May 21, 2014 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel Morgantown, Ky. with a private graveside service at a later date at Salem Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com
