Wanda Rue Cox Whitaker 71, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at her residence in Morgantown. Ms. Whitaker was born May 10, 1942 in Hardin County, to the late Aurby and Bonnie Cardwell Cox. She was a cook for many years at different restaurants in Morgantown. Wanda loved to cook, clean and collect angels . She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Billy Ray Whitaker , three brothers Ottis, Obie & Bill Cox, three sisters Opal Cox Burden, Della Mae Cox Burden & Mildred (Tottie) Cox Cole.

Ms. Whitaker is survived by one daughter: Celilia Kesler of Morgantown; one son: Charles Hugh Whitaker, Jr. of Morgantown; six grandchildren: Hershel Ray Lacefield of Russellville, Mathew Don Lacefield of Paducah, Cody Vaughn Kesler of Morgantown, Angel Raiann Whitaker of Morgantown, Billy Jacob Whitaker of Bowling Green and James Todd Whitaker of Morgantown.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro: Josh Scott officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown.
