L.H. Harper, 72 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Rosewood Health Care in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Muhlenberg County native, son of the late Forest and Marie Carr Harper. He was a member of Rochester Missionary Baptist Church and retired carpenter from ER Carpenter Co. in Russellville, Ky. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Pauline Hudnall and Doris June Harper; 4 brothers Donald Rutherford, Charles Douglas (Moose) Rutherford, James Edward Harper and Clifton Harper; father in -law Lonzo McKinney and special nephew Ross Shane Phelps.

Harper is survived by his wife Linda Elaine McKinney Harper of Morgantown, Ky; son Joey Harper of Morgantown, Ky; daughter Janie West Jenkins of Morgantown, Ky; granddaughter Jordan West; grandsons Ryan West, Dakota Harper, Jacoby Harper and Raven Harper; 2 sisters Judy Coursey of Lewisburg, Ky and Melba Bratten of Liberty, TN; 2 brothers Paul Harper of Russellville, Ky and Earl Rutherford of Whelty AR and mother in- law Lucille McKinney Miller of Morgantown, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, October 14, 2011 at 12:00pm. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday from 8:00am until funeral time at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
