Matthew Troy Henderson, age 24, of Centertown, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born on May 13, 2002, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and lived a life that touched the hearts of many with his loving spirit, and kind nature.

Matthew was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Baize and Diane Burden, and by his paternal great-grandparents, Harold and Bessie Williams. He is survived by his mother, Kathy Michelle Perry of Caneyville, Kentucky; his father, Ricky Shane Henderson of Morgantown, Kentucky; sister, Carleyann Nicole Henderson of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; grandparents, Cathy Johnson (Phillip), and Ricky Henderson (Barbara), all of Morgantown, Kentucky; his aunts, Ashley Lambert (Jody) of Woodburn, Kentucky, and Deshonna Hornback of Bowling Green, Kentucky; his uncle, Ricky Scott Johnson (Crickett) of Morgantown, Kentucky; and several other aunts and uncles.

Matthew worked as a security guard, his faith was an important part of Matthew’s life. He attended Cool Springs General Baptist Church and Christ Covenant Church, where he found encouragement and fellowship. He loved Christian music and enjoyed reading his Bible, and his faith was a source of comfort and guidance throughout his life. His devotion to the Lord was evident in the way he lived, and he sought to walk with humility and sincerity.

Matthew also enjoyed the simple blessings of life. He loved fishing and soccer, and he found joy in spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 2:00pm with Bro. Woody Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery where Shane Henderson, Scott Johnson, Justin Blunk, Tristan Midiff, Jacob Johnson and Mickey Shepherd will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2026 from 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jones Funeral Chapel P.O.
