Imogene Duke, age 80 of Morgantown, KY, passed away on Saturday,  February 14, 2026, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born on December 10, 1945, in Butler County, KY, Imogene's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication, woven through her years of life.

Imogene was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Smith Abbott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel C. Duke, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories. Her sister, Mary Jo Wagoner, and brothers-in-law Jerlow Duke, Earlow Duke, Earl Wilson, and Ben Wagoner, also preceded her in passing, as did her sisters-in-law Ruth Duke and Genevieve "Jenny" Wilson. Her spirit is carried on by her daughter, Joanna Castlen (Richard) of Brooklyn, KY, and her son, Jarrod Duke (Mary) of Bowling Green, KY. Imogene's legacy continues through her four adored grandchildren, grandsons Chance and Justin Castlen of Morgantown, KY, and granddaughters Ella and Lucy Duke of Bowling Green, KY. Her sister, Connie Abbott of Morgantown, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

Imogene was co owner and office manager for  Joel's Construction, a business they run for many years. Imogene found solace in the delicate art of needlepoint, the beauty of flowers, and the tranquility of gardening and she enjoyed watching UK Basketball. However, it was the time spent with her grandchildren that she treasured above all. Each moment with them was a precious gift, filled with laughter and the simple joys of life.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, February 20, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Darryl Dockery officiating. Burial will be in the Isiah Evans Cemetery where Jarrod Duke, Chance and Justin Castlen, Cody Wagoner, Eli, and Ian Embry will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 9:30am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
