Betty Ann Locke
Betty Ann Locke, age 91 of Morgantown, KY, passed away at her residence, on Friday, December 5, 2025. Born on Saturday, June 9, 1934, in Greenville, KY, Betty's life was a testament to her intelligence, her passion for the arts, and her unwavering commitment to her family and faith.
Betty was the daughter of the late Mel and Elizabeth McCauley Carver. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Bryan "Don" Locke, and her dear sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Mangrum. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Martha Ann Locke of Morgantown, KY, and her son, Bryan Driskill Locke (Jeanie) of Morgantown, KY. Betty's joy was multiplied by her four grandchildren, Betsy Wolfe of Louisville, KY, Katey Satterly (Victor) of Louisville, KY, Hunt Luther "Lute" Locke (Maggie) of Morgantown, KY, and Annie Laten Locke of Morgantown, KY, as well as her great-grandchild, Everett Satterly of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Abbott of Greenville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
A member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church and her musical talents graced the congregation of Morgantown First Baptist Church, where she served as a pianist for several years. Betty's love for music was only rivaled by her passion for cooking, her appreciation for flowers, and her enjoyment to doing arts and crafts and she was a avid reader.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 1:00pm with Bro. David Hocker officiating. Burial will be held in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens where Lute Locke, Victor Satterly, Jon Hunt, Brody Hunt, Zack Whittinghill and Eli Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
