Mrs. Faye Wilson Beckner, 81, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on June 11, 2025 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.  She was born in Morgantown, Kentucky on October 29, 1943, to the late Carl Taylor Wilson and the late Della Elizabeth Proctor Wilson.  Mrs. Beckner lived most of her life in Cook County and was a retired beautician.  She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

      Mrs. Beckner is survived by her three daughters and one son-in-law: Jennifer and Scott Pattillo of Hahira, Georgia, Janine Beckner of Lakeland, Georgia;  and Lisa Bostick of Adel; seven grandchildren: Heather and Allen Corbin of Quitman, Georgia, Dustin Folsom of Adel, Nicole Williams of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Carly Macri of Tallahassee, Florida, McKenzie and Stewart Womack of Alabama, Joshua Colon of Lakeland, Georgia, Cliff Bostic of Wakulla Springs, Florida; eight great grandchildren: Tristen Corbin, Allen Corbin, both of Quitman, Grayson Womack of Alabama, Talia Mann of Glen Burnie, Brodie Macri of Tallahassee, Rowan Bostic and Elliana Bostic, both of Wakulla Springs; two brothers, Warren Wilson of Knoxville, Tennessee and Milton Wilson of Provo, Kentucky; one sister, Jane Sanford of Newport, North Carolina.  Mrs. Beckner was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Joe Elliott Beckner, and one grandson, Derek Colon.

      Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM on Saturday; June 14, 2025 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Bussey and Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.   "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden" will be played at the service.  Dewade Bostic, Scott Shealey, Terry Shealey, Stacey Skinner, Keith Howze and Stewart Womack will serve as active pallbearers.  Faye's close friends, "The Golden Girls," will serve as honorary pallbearers.
