Joshua Wayne "Josh"  Brooks, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on Grancer Road in Butler County, KY, on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on Tuesday, July 14, 1981, in Leitchfield, KY, Josh's life was a testament to the love and laughter he brought into the world.

Josh was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Bennett and Blanche Brooks, and Junior White and Edith Whitaker. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be carried on by his devoted parents, Lannie and Wanda White Brooks of Caneyville, KY. His memory will be cherished by his siblings, Chris Brooks (Nancy) of Caneyville, KY, Bennett Brooks (Shelly) of Morgantown, KY, and Aimee Lindsey (Devon) of Paris, KY. Joshua's playful spirit will be deeply missed by his niece, Sally Brooks, and his nephews, Bryer and Bo Brooks, all of Morgantown, KY, as well as by his numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Josh attended White Ridge Church, where he found solace and community. Josh's interests were as diverse as his talents. He was a proud and doting uncle, always ready with a hug for his nieces and nephews, who held a very special place in his heart. His caring and kind nature with a heart of gold made him a beacon of support for those around him.

Josh's sense of humor was infectious, and his one-of-a-kind laugh could light up a room. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was through his love of cooking, gaming, and reading. His artistic soul shone brightly through his love of painting and playing the saxophone.

The words that best describe Josh are loving, kind, and funny. These qualities were the pillars of his life and the memories he leaves behind. His presence was a gift to those who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his absence will be felt deeply by the many lives he touched. Josh enjoyed spending time with his family especially his niece and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00pm with Bro. Buddy Swift officiating. Burial will be in the White Ridge Cemetery where his family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Jones Funeral Chapel. P.O.
