Tony Flener

Tony Flener, age 68 of Morgantown, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Morgantown, Kentucky. Born on Friday, April 5, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas, Tony's life was a vibrant journey that left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
 
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry E. Flener and Palma Maxine Wood, his stepfather Arnold Wood, his brother Steve Flener, and his stepbrother Rick Wood. He is survived by his long-time companion, Shelia Duncan of Morgantown, KY, his children Bennie Neal of Morgantown, KY, and Lyndsay Cassidy (Chad) of Vallonia, Indiana, and his six grandchildren: Ben, Carson, and Gavin Neal of Morgantown, KY, and Grayson, Avery, and Rowen Cassidy of Vallonia, Indiana.
 
He is also survived by his stepmother, Carole Flener of Houston, Texas; his siblings Suzanne Wood of Morgantown, KY, Shannon Cantu (Adan) of Morgantown, KY, and Robert Bell (Ilona) of Clarksville, TN; his stepsister Valeria Rosenthal of LaQuinta, California; and several loving nieces and nephews.
 
Tony was a proud Kentucky Colonel and a businessman in the community. He was the Owner and Operator of Green River Cabinets and ABF Rentals, where his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft were evident to all who worked with him.
 
A man of many interests, Tony found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid guitar player, and his love for the Beatles was known to all who knew him. Tony's creative spirit was not only reflected in his music but also in the beautiful cabinetry he crafted. His love for the beach was profound, and he could often be found with his toes in the sand, a contented smile on his face, surrounded by his cats. Those who knew Tony will remember him as a funny man who could light up a room with his wit and charm.
 
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later day, arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler County Animal Shelter P.O.
