Rickie Louis Hudson

Rickie Louis Hudson, passed away peacefully at his residence in Morgantown, Kentucky, on April 15, 2025, after a life well-lived. Born on August 10, 1954, in Edmonson County, Kentucky, Rickie was a man of great humor, friendliness, and practical skills that endeared him to all who knew him.

Rickie spent many years skillfully operating a bulldozer in the coal mines, a job that spoke to his tenacity and work ethic. Beyond his professional life, he was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where he found a community of faith and fellowship that enriched his life.

An outdoor enthusiast, Rickie's passions included hunting and fishing; experiences where he found both relaxation and excitement in the beauty of nature. These pastimes reflected the simplicity and joy with which he approached life.

Celebrating Rickie's memory are his beloved son, Tim Hudson (Trevia) of Greenville, KY; his dear sister, Elfreda Hardin (James) of Sunfish, KY; his cherished companion, Vicki Embry of Morgantown, KY; and several nieces and nephews who will miss his presence profoundly. Rickie is preceded in death by his parents, Dewyard and Dolly Higgs Hudson; his son, Richard Todd Hudson; and his brothers, JB and HD Hudson.
