Barbara Jean Richmond, age 82, of Alvaton passed away at her residence on Feb. 17, 2025. She was born in Bowling Green, KY on April 11, 1942. Barbara retired from housekeeping at the Britthaven Nursing Home. Barbara loved farm work and cooking for whoever she could cook for. She was preceded in death by her parents John William and Mildred Ruth Petty Cassady: two sons Roger Glen Richmond and Danny Clay Richmond; brothers Bill, Joe and Harlan Cassady.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 66 years Glen Richmond; daughter Carolyn Richmond; grandsons John William Richmond, Robert Joiner (Brittany), Terry Clay Richmond (Brittany), Matt Richmond (Sarah), Heather Goodrum (Matt); great grandchildren Rylee Carr, Lucas Joiner, Charlee Joiner, Hunter Richmond, Elizabeth and Christy Burba; three sisters Wanda Forshee (Jack), Mary Embry (Gary) and Melissa Sanders (Bill).; two brothers Cecil Cassady (Susan) and Doug Cassady (Ann Maire).
