Norman T. Pendley

Norman T. Pendley, age 80 of Huntsville, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY. Born on Thursday, September 28, 1944, in the South Hill Community of Butler County, KY. Norman was a cherished husband, father, pop, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alvin T. and Lula Lorene Grubb Pendley, his brother Bobby Pendley, and his sister Helen Dean Pendley, as well as his sister-in-law Wendy Drake. 

His memory will be forever held in the hearts of those he leaves behind, including his devoted wife of 56 years, Beverly Drake Pendley of Huntsville, KY; his son Brad Pendley of Huntsville, KY; his daughter Bridgette Haley and her husband Luke of Russellville, KY; his grandchildren Beau Hunter Pendley of Louisville, KY, and Braxton, Brenner, and Breelyn Haley, all of Russellville, KY. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Robbins (Garry) of Morgantown, KY, and Myrl McDonald of Huntsville, KY; sister-in-law Ginger Drake of Bowling Green, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Norman proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran, member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Norman's professional life was marked by dedication and excellence; he worked for 28 years at Scott and Murphy as a bridge builder, where he retired as superintendent. Beyond his professional achievements, Norman was a man of many interest. He had a passion for helping people. An avid outdoorsman, Norman found joy in hunting and fishing, enjoyed woodworking and watching Westerns. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, December 6, 2024 at 1:00pm with Bro. David Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in the Huntsville Baptist Church Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the AM Vets serving as pallbearers, Beau Hunter Pendley, Luke Haley, Randy Arnold, Stone Jackson, Dennis Robbins, Ben Wilson, honorary pallbearers Braxton and Brenner Haley. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
