Elaine Carolyn Price Elmore, 62 of Cartersville, Georgia passed suddenly from this life on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Born September 27, 1961 in Lackawanna, NY, she was the eldest daughter of the late William H. Price and Cherye K. Doverspike Price.

Elaine received an Accounting degree from Bryant & Stratton, which she used for 30 years as an financial analyst, business manager and accountant, at Wang Laboratories, Getronics, CompuCom, Pivotal, Accella and Carlisle. As a former co-worker wrote, “she brings a warm and friendly side to spreadsheets and finances, coupled with accuracy and confidence….”. Elaine was an active member of the Cartersville Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting with her friends and playing with her grandchildren. She was a happy person, quick to smile, laugh and make new friends. She and her husband Joe completed each other and they created a loving family with their son David.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, George Jerome “Joe” Elmore, her in-laws Lossie Elmore and Gracie Johnson Elmore; Grandparents David Thomas Price, Minnie Moyser Faulds Price, Kenneth D. Doverspike, Dorothy Mabel Schenck Doverspike; She was also preceded by aunts and uncles John Robert (Jack) Price, Ray T. Price, Anne Marie Chrovak Price, Albert Jay Price, Ina Lou Price Sekol, Bruce Edward Price, Roger Doverspike, Mary Hammer Doverspike; brother in law R.V. Elmore; and cousin Edward Doverspike

She is survived by her son David Lossin Elmore, grandchildren Gwendolyn Elmore and Darius Elmore of Cartersville, GA; her sister and brother in law Nancy Price Porter and Ken Porter of Lockport, NY; her brother and sister in law David T. Price and Krista Dabakis Price of Gresham, OR; sister and brother in laws Linda Elmore Childers, Tema Childers, Rhuelma Elmore, Mike Elmore; aunts and uncles Della Doverspike Dunn, Jane Doverspike Leonard, Donald Sekol, Mary Price; nieces and nephews Alissa Sieczkarski Kelly, Elaine Sieczkarski, Hannah Price; Derek Sieczkarski, Daniel Sieczkarski, Tucker Price, Karinna Snelling, Robin Roberts, Misti Logsdon, Mary Jo Marr, Mike Elmore; cousins Diane Price Sail, Robert Price, Linda Price, Ann Price Johnson, Alan Sekol, Barry Sekol, Jeffrey Leonard, Jennifer Leonard Hammond, Kenneth Doverspike, Daniel Doverspike, Tracy Dunn and Laurie Dunn

The family will receive family and friends at Mt. Lebanon Church of Christ, Region Rd, Roundhill, KY on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 9:00 AM and funeral at 10:00 AM. Elaine will be laid to rest, next to her husband Joe, in the Milligan Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
