Emmitt T. Cox 85 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Emmitt was born November 6, 1933 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Tossom and Clora Elms Cox. He retired from the river boat Mulzer Crush Stone. Emmitt loved trap shooting, fishing, hunting and his family. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson Garlon Casey Cox.  

Emmitt T. Cox is survived by his wife of 64 years Jo Dean Deweese Cox of Morgantown, KY; two daughters Patricia Jones and husband Jerry of Morgantown, KY and Cindy Cardwell and husband Mark of Morgantown, KY; two sons Ronnie Cox and wife Bobbie of Morgantown, KY and Donnie Cox and wife Shelia of Morgantown, KY; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and two sisters Dorothy Brooks of Morgantown, KY and Alice Lou Cox of Morgantown, KY. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00pm with Bro. Randall Deweese officiating. Burial will be in the Noah Johnson Cemetery where Johnny Cox, Kurt Cox, Ronald Cox, Dustin Johnson, Jordon Johnson, Jacob Cardwell, Todd Jones and Ian Johnson will serve as pall bearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
