Irene Phelps, 96 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Irene was born December 26, 1921, in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Shirley and Myrtle Romans Deweese and wife of the late Archie C. Phelps. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and co-owner of Farm Boy Restaurant from 1968- 1995. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by four children Sue Waddle, Janice Lundy, Shirley Belcher and A.C. Phelps Jr and two granddaughters Melinda Phelps and Kimberly Taylor.

Irene Phelps is survived by one brother Glendal Deweese and wife Betty of Morgantown, KY; five grandchildren Ronald Belcher, Sonya Loosvelt, Rhonda Vaughn and husband Michael, Robbie Phelps and wife Stephanie and Candi Clark and husband Matt; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 6:30pm with Bro. Tommy Phelps officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 3:00pm until service time at 6:30pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
