William Reathel Farris

William Reathel Farris, 88 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his residence. Reathel was born October 17, 1929, in Arnold Kentucky in Ohio County to the late John Calvin and Elsa Mae Burden Farris. He was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and attended Belmont General Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and truck driver, was an honest God fearing man, and was true to his word. He loved his family, proud of his grandchildren and was a hard working man. Loved going to auctions, sitting and talking with friends and family at Aberdeen Grocery and the roundtable at Drakes Farm Service.

William Reathel Farris is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Thelma Flener Farris of Morgantown, KY; one daughter Stephanie Lee and husband Jerry of Morgantown, KY; two sons Steve Farris and wife Lisa of Beechmont, KY and Stan Farris and wife Tonya of Morgantown, KY; six grandchildren Trapper and Tanner Farris of Morgantown, KY, Jaccob Lee and wife Tessa of Morgantown, KY, Justin Abell of Morgantown, KY, Quentin Farris of Alvaton, KY and Cody Farris and wife Lindsay of Madison, TN; 5 step grandchildren Amy Flener and husband Arlen of Morgantown, KY, Abby Southerland and husband Justin of Morgantown, KY, April Lee of Morgantown, KY, Adam Lee and wife Lisa of Morgantown KY and Ben Aronld and wife Sarah of Bowling Green, KY; 4 great grandchildren Adeline Farris, Ryman Lee, Hudson Abell, Caden Farris and Titus William Lee on the way; 10 step great grandchildren and 1 on the way; two brothers Ed Farris from Cromwell, KY and Hillard Farris of Aberdeen, KY; one sister Jean Guffy of Bowling Green, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 11:00 am with Bro. Gary Embry, Bro. Sonny Mull, Bro. T J Howard and Bro. Gene Garner officiating. Burial will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday 8:00 am until funeral time at 11:00 am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
