There will be a Celebration of Life for Charlotte Moore Smith on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2-4 pm at the Rochester Community Building.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Charlotte Mae Moore Smith, 97, of Rochester, Ky., passed away Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Hospice House of Southern Ky. in Bowling Green. She was born in Butler Co. on August 19, 1920, to the late Rev. Thurman and Monnie Hilton Moore. She was a homemaker, a beloved Mamaw, a fantastic cook, nurses aid, member of Rochester United Methodist Church and a lady with the patience of Job. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lenn James "Little Doc" Smith; daughter Linda Joyce Smith; brothers James and Thurman Moore; sisters Bernice Stuart, Sibyl Swetman and Mary Ruth Lampe.

Mrs. Smith is survived by six children James H. Smith (Mary) of LaGrange Park, Il., Dr. Harold M. "Bo" Smith (Jane) of Wynne, Ar., Charles L. Smith (Hope) of Rochester; Dr. Jerry W. Smith (Brenda) of Bowling Green, Mary S. Baxter (Greg) of Rochester and Cheryl A. Gibbons (Rev. Mark) of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister Joyce Kincaid of Leitchfield; many beloved nieces and nephews; caregivers Betty Kirby, Samantha Wagner, Lori Howard and Cody Moats.

Graveside Service will be held at the Rochester Cemetery on Saturday, October 7 at 2 pm with Rev. Mark Gibbons officiating. There will be no Visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, Ky.  42104 or  Rochester Cemetery, PO Box 146, Rochester, Ky. 42273.
