Ward Anderson

Freeman Ward Anderson, 78, of  Morgantown, Ky., passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, at his residence. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on December 1, 1938, to the late Robert Samuel and Verdie Elizabeth Brown Anderson.  He was a graduate of Butler County High School, a member of  Union Missionary Baptist Church, Cassia Masonic Lodge # 272 F&AM. He was an Army Veteran and served during the Berlin Crisis, Quality control foreman at Holley Carburetor for 31 years also worked as a labor foreman at TVA.    He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Nada Ross, Ada McCoy, and Pauline Belcher;  one brother Nevel Anderson.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his three brothers Marshall Anderson of Morgantown, Rex Anderson of Louisville, Ky., Ray Anderson of Charlestown, In.; several nieces and nephews; special friend Marcia Luttrell. 

Funeral Service will be held at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Morgantown, Ky on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at 11 am with Bro. Gary Oberhausen and Bro. Don Rogers officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery with Military honors by Am Vets Post #117.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, from 2-8pm at Smith Funeral Home and Thursday from 10 am until time of service at Union Missionary Baptist Church, Morgantown, Ky.
