J. D. Deweese, 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at his residence.  He was born in Butler Co. on March 7, 1931, to the late Taylor and Eva Woosley Deweese.  He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of Woodbury Methodist Church and a self-employed mechanic.  J. D. enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and riding his motorcycle.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Liz Ann Cockriel and one brother Glespie Deweese. 
Mr. Deweese is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Margurite Deweese of Morgantown;  daughter Kathy Falk and husband Dave of Russellville; grandson Patrick DeRoy of Bowling Green; brother M.C. Deweese of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Halqua Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery where Military Honors will be presented by Am Vets Post 117.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23 from 4:30-8 pm and Tuesday 8 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
