Butler County High School celebrated Bearfest 2013 on Tuesday night as the Bears hosted the Raiders of Hart County.  Payton Grubb, daughter of Pat and Kim Grubb was crowned Homecoming Queen while Ricky Palmer, son of Tom and Shellie Palmer was named King.  The court included:

"The Neighbors" is a new locally owned and operated furniture, home decor and consignment store located in Ashley Plaza Bldg. D7. Owner, Vickie Neighbors began collecting furniture and home decor items last fall in hopes of opening a business.

United States Representative Brett Guthrie came to Morgantown on Wednesday to talk with his constituents. A large crowd gathered at the Butler County Ag Extension Office as Guthrie held a question and answer session for nearly two hours.

Morgantown is now home to a new counseling and therapy agency. Compass Counseling, based in Bowling Green, has recently expanded their outreach by opening offices in Brownsville, and here in Morgantown.
