Tuesday morning commuters throughout Morgantown were given the opportunity to share the road with participants of the 2017 Great Race as the racers made their way to the next overnight stop in Franklin, Indiana.

The Butler County Chapter NSDAR held a program on the Courthouse lawn on Wednesday, June 14 in observance of Flag Day. Efforts began as early as 1916 to get Flag Day national observance. Finally, in 1949 President Harry S. Truman signed a Congress-approved Flag Day into law.
