The Green River Road Race was held on June 5 and for the first time in race history, a female was the overall winner.  Ashley Runion, of Morgantown, finished in first place with a time of 34:00, which was a pace of 6:47 per mile for the grueling 5-mile run.

The 8th Annual Stan England Charity Golf Scramble benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Butler County was held Saturday, May 22 at the Paul Walker Golf Course in Bowling Green. Sixty golfers enjoyed great weather and friendly competition on the golf course at this year’s event.

The Butler County High School Class of 1960 is hosting a Class Reunion at Salem Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  The reunion is Friday, July 2 at 4:00pm  This event is cartered by Green River Carters.  Please RSVP to Christine Whittinghill Flener at 270 526-4390. Cost is $15.
