4H and FFA exhibitors from Butler and other counties competed in the 2014 youth livestock show Saturday during the catfish festival. The show was open to youth from any county with a show open to Butler County youth, according to Lee Ann Daugherty, Butler County FFA advisor.

On the last night of the Green River Catfish Festival the Miss Butler County Fair pageants were held. Young ladies ages 8-12 years competed for Miss Pre-Teen, ages 13-15 years competed for Miss Teen, while the 16-21 year olds vied for Miss Butler County Fair.

On Saturday morning boys and girls, 0-23 months, gathered for the Green River Catfish Festival pageants. A large crowd of Moms, Dads, Siblings, Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Aunts and Uncles watched as the little ones competed. The winners were:

The 2014 Green River Catfish Festival Terrapin Race featured 12 heat races and a championship round before Ty Griffin and terrapin #4 took home the $100 top prize and trophy. Riley Turci's terrapin #63 finished second; Zachary Gwathney with terrapin #139 came in third.
