Cub Scouts hold annual Blue and Gold Banquet
Cub Scout Pack 208 held their Annual Blue and Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby on Sunday March 1, 2015. Several awards were given during the Banquet.

Wolf Den: (Above) Den Leader Scott Elmore
Don Elmore earned the following:
Collection Belt Loop, Music Belt Loop, Weather Pin, Citizenship Pin, Communication Pin and Good Manner Pin.
Don had also completed enough achievements to be awarded his Wolf Rank.

Dalton Hale (not pictured) earned his Collection Pin.
Bear Den: (Above) Den leader Tammy Alford
Jason Gordon and Parker Smith completed enough achievements to be awarded their third red bead.

Webelos II: (Above) Den leader Regina Laughing and Assistant Den Leader and Eagle Scout Cody Calhoun)
Nicholas Campbell, Jared Hudnall, Luke Laughing, Alex Coleman and Taylor Miller all earned the following achievements:
Readyman, Geology and Outdoor.
These young men also received their Arrow of Light, currently the highest rank for a Cub Scout, and they are ready to begin their Boy Scout journey.
Clayton Keown (not pictured) earned his Readyman.
Following the Awards portion of the program, the scouts enjoyed some games and refreshments.
After all Blue and Gold Banquet activities were completed it was race time!
The first Pinewood Derby was held in May, 1953 in California and has been one of the most anticipated events for Cub Scouts each year.
This year 13 Scouts participated in the Derby:
Landon Moore, Tiger; Acen Clark, Tiger; Don Elmore, Wolf; Dalton Hale, Wolf; Parker Smith, Bear; Jason Gordon, Bear; Wesley Phelps, Webelos 1; Joey O’Connell, Webelos 1; Nicholas Campbell, Webelos 2; Alex Coleman, Webelos 2; Jared Hudnall, Webelos 2; Luke Laughing, Webelos 2; and Taylor Miller, Webelos 2.
Each racer competed in 3 heat races and the times from each of those heats were combined to decide the winner. The top three finishers will compete Saturday, March 15th in Bowling Green in the District Pinewood Derby.
