2013 Pre Teen Butler County winner, Olivia Austin, will compete in the Kentucky State Fair Pageant on Friday and Saturday in Louisville. Olivia is the daughter of Johnny and Shannon Austin of Rochester.

There are more than 100 million children who have received shoebox gifts through operation Christmas Child in the past 20 years. The numbers are huge; the impact is measured one by one. Since 1999 Butler Countians have sent 7000 shoeboxes through Franklin Graham Operation Christmas Child.

The 2013 season of singing and dancing on the square wrapped up Saturday night with a performance by Butler County’s own Rose Family Band. Perfect weather and streets lined with fall decorations provided the background for dancers of all ages.
