Raven Elizabeth Brooks, the 2011 Butler County High School Football Homecoming Queen, has been selected as finalist for the 32nd Annual Kentucky Homecoming Queen Selection, set for April 15 at the Louisville Airport Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The Knitters and Crocheters of Butler County made and donated over 45 items to the VFW Women’s Auxiliary for the newborn babies of military families at Fort Campbell. The items included handmade, knit and crocheted, sweaters, booties, hats, bibs and mitts.

"George W. Eskridge" was the topic of the February History Month meeting of the Green River Chapter NSDAR on President's Day on February 20. Mr. Leon Eskridge, a direct descendant of the 17th Century barrister was the speaker.
Members of the BCHS SUPA, under the direction of Mr. Sam Hunt and Mr. Brandon Poole, have begun rehearsing for their upcoming performance of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The play will run from April 20-22 with three performances available to the general public. Show times are 8 p.m.
