The Wonderful Pig Opens in Dunbar

Opening a small business can be an uphill battle in this economic climate, but a new restaurant, The Wonderful Pig, is open and ready for business in Dunbar.

Danny and Cindy Taylor, formerly of Florida, came to Butler County on a hunting trip a few years ago and decided to stay. “We fell in love with the county and the people,” said Cindy. Everyone was so friendly and caring.”
Danny is the pitmaster, while Cindy, her Mom, Lois Vencil, and Carla Fields take care of the restaurant.

According to Cindy, her grandson named the restaurant. “Anytime we had BBQ he always called it the Wonderful Pig.”
The Wonderful Pig restaurant has everything from ribs, to chicken, to pork stew, to pulled/sliced pork. With plenty of delicious side items and desserts to pick from; you will not leave hungry.
The Taylors offers dine-in or take out service Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Wonderful Pig offers catering services, as well.
