WLBQ Radiothon raises over $9,000 for Morgantown Mission Holiday Food Baskets

A BIG THANK YOU, to all the individuals, groups, and organizations that donated to the Morgantown Mission Radiothon.
As of Friday afternoon, the total amount raised by the WLBQ 101.5 FM/Beech Tree News radio fundraiser was $9,900 which equals 330 boxes of food for those in need during the holidays.
“God always takes care of us,” said Garry McKinney, director of the Morgantown Mission.

This was the sixth annual remote broadcast from the Mission.  Part of the WLBQ/Beech Tree News family: Sean Whittinghill, Landon Hampton, Josh Hampton, Jim Green, Jeremy Womack, and Diane Dyer did a live remote from the Mission from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm. Several members of the community also spent time on air.

“We had a great day, and as always we enjoy helping the Mission,” said Dyer.

The goal was 300 boxes, and the community responded.  Money continued to come in on Friday afternoon as well as Saturday.

“We (WLBQ/BtN) want to thank everyone that donated money, took their time to stop by, called in, and spoke with us on the air,” added Dyer.
