WLBQ expands coverage with new FM translator on north side

WLBQ’s signal on the north side of Butler County recently got a boost with the addition of a new FM translator located in the Fifth District area on KY 79 North.  The “Q” frequency for the new signal is 103.5 FM.  With the new translator, WLBQ listeners can now find the station on 101.5 FM, 103.5 FM, or 1570AM, as well as online.

“The new translator on the north side will significantly boost coverage in that area of the county,” said Diane Dyer, of WLBQ.  “The added signal strength will allow us to more effectively reach a lot more listeners and even reach over into surrounding counties.”

The station will be promoting the new translator by using the North and South designations - something familiar to many folks with deep roots in the county:  103.5-NORTH and 101.5 SOUTH.

Although there will be some fine tuning in the coming weeks, the signal is now active so listeners on the north side of the county are encouraged to tune their radio to 103.5 to find the “Q” on their radio dial.
