OWENSBORO — Butler County eighth grade center/forward Ava Wilson was named to the 2022-23 All-3rd Region Girls' Basketball Tournament Team.

Wilson delivered a team-high 12 points and seven rebounds in Butler County's loss to Owensboro Catholic during the first round of the 3rd Region Girls' Basketball Tournament at the Owensboro Sportscenter on Monday, Feb. 27.

Wilson was among the leaders for Butler County throughout the 2022-23 girls' high school basketball season, averaging 7.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Among the best eighth grade girls' basketball players in the 3rd Region, Wilson ranked as Butler County's leading rebounder.

Wilson will be back on the court preparing for her freshman campaign during the offseason.
