Wife Charged with Murder

UPDATE: Kathy M. Boord (DOB 6/11/64) of 12301 Russellville Road, has been indicted by the Butler County Grand Jury on the following charges: Murder, when she intentionally or wantonly with grave indifference to human life, caused the death of her husband Judson Scott Boord. She was charged with Tampering with physical evidence, when she, knowingly destroyed, concealed, removed or altered physical evidence which she believed was about to be produced or used in an offical proceeding with intent to impair it verity or availability in the offical proceeding and possession of marijuana. Boord was also charged with possession of marijuana, firearm enhanced, when she knowingly and unlawfully possessed marijuana while in possession of a firearm. She has been arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond. Her arraignment is set for October 2, 2012 at 10:00a.m.

Judson "Scott" Boord, 47, died June 28 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green as a result a gun shot wound on June 24.

Update- 7/12/12

The victim of an early morning shooting on June 24 at 12301 Russellville Road has passed away. Judson "Scott" Boord, age 47 of Russellville, died June 28 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green as a result of his wounds.

KSP Post 3 is investigating the shooting at this time. Boord's wife, Kathy, was the only person at the house at the time of the shooting. Stay connected to Beech Tree News for more on this story as it becomes available.

Original story, 6/24/12

An early morning shooting at 12301 Russellville Road is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police according to Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward. Ward said the male victim was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green and is undergoing surgery.  

"The bullet entered through his back and is lodged in his chest wall," said Ward.

The Air Evac helicopter landed at the Second District Fire Department but did not transport the victim.  Butler County EMS with the assistance Air Evac personnel transported the victim. 

Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Trey Flener was the first to arrive at the scene shortly after 6:00 am.

"The Kentucky State Police is handling the investigation, the victim's wife says it was an accidental discharge, the victim has made no comment," said Ward.

The investigation is ongoing, Sheriff Ward and Kentucky State Police cleared the scene at 10:58am. Names have not been released.

Butler County EMS, Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward, Deputy Trey Flener, and the Kentucky State Police responded.
