Western Kentucky Legacy travels to Florida

The Butler County travel ball team traveled to Panama City Beach, Florida to attend the United States Fastpitch Association (USFA) World Series.

The Western Kentucky Legacy 16-U fastpitch softball team will compete in games on July 8 and 9. The team was also chosen to Grand Marshall the world series parade. Butler County players carried the USA, Kentucky State and POW-MIA flags.

“It is a great honor for these girls and our small community,” Coach Billy Jones said.

Pool Play games began on Monday, July 8 at 11:30 a.m. against TSF Elite Herrera from Texas. Games are also scheduled for Tuesday, July 9 at 1:15 p.m. against Misfits from Indiana and at 3:00 p.m. against Mattoon Pride 16U Black from Illinois.

The women’s travel ball is coached by Billy Jones, Johnny Austin, Patrick Combest and Marty Zamora
