Weeks & Tynes Engagement

 Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Scott Weeks of Greensboro, Alabama announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Grace Weeks, to Clay Russell Tynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Wayne Tynes of Morgantown.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Albert Acker, Sr. of Greensboro, Alabama and Dr. and Mrs. George Eliot Weeks of Moundville, Alabama.

Miss Weeks is a 2006 graduate of Southern Academy and completed her pre-pharmacy requirements at the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University in May 2013. She recently completed a pharmacy residency at DCH Regional Medical Center where she is currently employed.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Opalene Romans Hocker and the late Mr. AC Hocker of Morgantown and Mrs. Kathleen Tyree Tynes and the late Mr. Russell Howard Tynes, Sr. of Lewisburg.

Mr. Tynes graduated from Butler County High School in 2005 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Western Kentucky University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from McWhorter School of Pharmacy in 2013. He completed a pharmacy residency at Children’s of Alabama in June and is currently employed by the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.

The wedding is planned for September 27 at Samford University’s Reid Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama.
