A Weekend of Music in Morgantown

Morgantown was hopping over the weekend with music related events. Residents made their way out into the heat to spend time together and enjoy the company of their friends and neighbors. Friday evening hosted a variety of local talent as well as a special performance by students of the recently reopened Dance Academy at the community mural. Concessions for this event were provided by the Butler County High School marching band.

On Saturday evening, Don Thomason's All-Stars performed on the square in front of the courthouse for the monthly "Singing on the Square" event which is hosted in part by the Morgantown-Butler County Tourism Commission. This event is intended to be hosted monthly until the end of summer.
