Week in Photos

The week of July 29 – August 4 presented in photos:

The annual Back to School Bash was held at the Charles Black City Park on Tuesday, July 30 and provided school supplies to 468 Butler County children.

 

Brand new shoes were provided to 77 Butler County school chilren on Wednesday, July 31. Happy Feet, a non-profit organization, provided the shoes to children in need that were referred by Butler County school staff. The event was hosted at Fire House Pizza in Morgantown. 

     

The Butler County Boys and Girls Club held a talent show on Friday, August 2 and allowed children the opportunity to showcase talents of their choice. Family were also invited to attend.

     

Warren RECC held their last Customer Appreciation Day of the summer on Thursday, August 1. Activities, bouncy houses, free shaved ice and hot dogs, gifts and much more were available

     

A dog wash and bake sale took place at the Butler County Animal Shelter on Saturday, August 3. The event was hosted by the Friends of Butler County Animals non-profit group.

Live music was played by Jacob Dockery at Firehouse Pizza in Morgantown on Saturday, August 3. Owners hope to continue to host live music every Saturday. 

 

The 13th annual Tractor Show took place on August 2 and 3 and was hosted by the Butler County Antique Engine and Tractor Club. Admission and parking was free and vendors were invited to participate. A tractor and engine show as well as a parade took place. Tractor games, raffles and a kids pedal pull also took place at the event.
