Week In Photos

The week of June 24 – 30 presented in photos: 

Community members and employees of local businesses went outside on Tuesday, June 25 to add finishing touches to their window murals.

Butler County 4-H Project Day Camp was held at the Butler County Extension Office on Tuesday and Wednesday. The camp provided multiple activities and lessons including cooking and preparing meals. 

 Butler County’s first ever Community Band met at the Morgantown for their first practice of the summer. People of all ages and experience were encouraged to participate. Butler County High School Band director Jason Ausbrooks led the practice. The band will host a performance at the Green River Catfish Festival. 

Belmont Church was among the many community churchse that held their Vacation Bible School throughout the week. Multiple activities took place throughout the church at different times with lessons specific to this year’s theme of “The Incredible Race” 

 The Mens Basketball Tournament also took place in correlation with the Green River Catfish Festival on Saturday at the Morgantown Elementary School Gym.  

The annual Catfish Festival Fishing Tournament kicked off on Saturday, June 29. Donald Renfrow caught the largest catfish of the day at 19.92 pounds.
