Warren RECC's New CEO Visits Morgantown

The Morgantown office of Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation hosted a reception for their new Chief Executive Officer, W. Scott Ramsey on Friday. Several members of the community and former Warren RECC employees stopped by to meet Ramsey.

Ramsey, 51, has been on the job a little over two months and has several years of experience in the electrical power industry. He has worked with Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, Richmond Power and Light in Indiana, and Oglethorpe Power Corporation of Macon, Georgia.
Prior to accepting the CEO position at Warren RECC, Ramsey served as CEO of Southern Illinois Power Cooperative.
“I’ve done little bit of everything in the electrical industry, and hopefully that experience will help me work better with employees,” said Ramsey.
Ramsey, a Western Kentucky University graduate from Union County, said his family is very excited to be back in the area. His wife is a native of Barren County.
“We will continue to be the best cooperative we can for our customers, and we appreciate each and every one of them,” said Ramsey.
