WARREN RECC: Widespread outages reported

UPDATE

March 4, 2023 (Bowling Green, KY) 9:30 a.m.

Warren RECC staff and crews continue to work to fully restore power to our members. At the height of yesterday’s windstorm, 45,000 Warren RECC members were without power. As of 9:00 a.m. this morning, more than 16,000 of those have been restored, with approximately 29,000 Warren RECC members still without power.

Today, we have 22 additional crews arriving from as far away as Florida, and we expect a more favorable weather forecast. We will continue to work systematically through our service area until all power is restored. However, restoration of this magnitude does take time, and we are still estimating a multi-day restoration event.

March 3, 2023 (Bowling Green, KY) 8:00 p.m.:

Warren RECC staff and crews continue to work to restore power to our members. As of 8:00 pm tonight, we have approximately 32,000 Warren RECC members without power.

We have additional crews arriving this weekend, however, due to the severe nature of some of the damage caused by today’s weather, we estimate that full restoration could be a multi-day event.

We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. Please remember to stay away from downed power lines. If you see a downed power line, please report it to one of our outage lines: In Warren County call 270-843-9710. Outside Warren County, call 1-888-604-4321.
