June 27, 2023 (Bowling Green, KY) 4:00 p.m. In less than 48 hours since a severe wind- and thunder- storm hit the region, Warren RECC and visiting crews have restored power to 21,400 members and are now working to restore power the remaining 7,600 without power.

At this time, our goal is to complete essentially all of the restoration by the end of the day on Wednesday, with some isolated outages possibly lasting into Thursday. We have restored transmission outages and the largest distribution outages. We are now restoring single lines, roads, neighborhoods, and individual houses. This restoration work will be slower, and we ask for your patience. We currently have over 35 additional crews aiding us in our effort, and we are working around the clock to get power restored as soon as possible.

Once again, we would like to remind everyone to avoid work areas and downed power lines. We want to keep everyone as safe as possible during our restoration efforts.
