Voters in 4th, 5th Districts have a choice of candidates in General Election

For the first time in a while, some voters will have a choice at the polls as to who they would like to represent them on the Butler County Board of Education.

In the Fourth District, incumbent Delbert Johnson is facing a challenge from Deanna Deweese.  Johnson currently serves as vice-chairman of the Board.

Meanwhile, in the Fifth District, incumbent Kevin T. Phelps will square off against two challengers - Joshua Henderson and J. Ryan Jackson.  Phelps was appointed to complete the remainder of Ryan Daugherty’s term.

Third District Board Member Dr. Amy Hood Waddle, chairperson of the Board, is running unopposed.

Voters in the Fourth and Fifth Districts will cast ballots in the November 3 General Election and the winners will take office in January 2027.
