Volunteers making a difference at MCR

Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation always has volunteers visiting the residents, even more around the holidays.

On December 2, Scout Troop 208 and Kathy Thacker got some of the residents involved in making a basket, passing out gifts, and enjoying some snacks.

On December 3, Gifted and Talented students from BCMS and BCHS, along with their teacher, Leslie Wood, made snowmen, put up decorations, and  lights on the giant Christmas Tree in the lobby. Brady Jones also played the piano while everyone sang.

On December 7, Madison Clark, an 8th-grade student at BCMS, along with resident April Patton, got everyone involved with bingo. In Madison's spare time, she also plays softball.

On December 9, knowing  how important it is to give back to their community, scouts were involved in reading, crafts, snacks, and everyone sang along with guitarist Frank Hobbs.

Contact Chaplin Derek Cain at the MCR if you would like to volunteer.  He can be reached at 270-526-3368.
