Volleyball: Butler County falls to Whitesville Trinity

MORGANTOWN - Butler County dropped a 12th District volleyball match as visiting Whitesville Trinity pulled away to win 3-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Whitesville Trinity won 25-10, 25-14, 25-20 over the Bears.

Carley Jones (4 kills, 1 block, 2 digs, 1 service ace), Autumn Gidcumb (3 kills, 14 assists, 21 digs, 1 service ace), Alyssa Thacker (3 kills, 3 blocks), Abigail Dockery (19 digs, 1 service ace), Cassidy Parker (2 kills, 18 digs, 2 service aces), Alexis Burdin (2 kills, 3 digs, 2 service aces) and Haley Meredith (3 kills, 14 assists, 21 digs, 1 service ace) contributed for Butler County in the setback.

Butler County is scheduled to visit Whitesville Trinity for another 12th District volleyball match on Friday, Sept. 24.

Both Butler County and Whitesville Trinity are slated to compete in the 12th District Volleyball Tournament in October.
